iPhone 6 Basics: Screen/Wallpaper Settings [Tutorial]

Just like what other iPhone owners usually do, you too can change your iPhone 6 wallpaper and adjust the screen settings according to your preference. If you still have no idea on how to get these things done on your new iPhone device, then I encourage you to read on to learn how.

Wallpaper Settings

There are various settings you can customize on Apple's new iPhone 6 smartphone. One of these is the phone's display settings, such as the wallpaper, screen size and screen brightness. As for the wallpaper, you can change it and use an image or photo and set it for the Home screen and Lock screen background. Also, you can select from dynamic and still images.

Changing the iPhone 6 Wallpaper

Follow these steps to customize or change the wallpaper of your new iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings.
  1. Select Wallpaper.
  1. Select a New Wallpaper.

You can use the Perspective Zoom button when choosing an image for your new wallpaper. With the Perspective Zoom button, you will be able to determine whether your chosen wallpaper is zoomed.

To view the Perspective Zoom button for a wallpaper you already set, just get to the Wallpaper settings, then tap the image of the Home screen or Lock screen

Please note that you won't be able to see the Perspective Zoom button if the Reduce Motion feature is enabled. You can find the Reduce Motion under Accessibility.

Adjusting the iPhone 6 Screen Brightness

If you are not comfortable with the current brightness level of your iPhone display, then you can adjust or set it as you prefer. Adjusting the screen brightness can also help save or extend battery life or your iPhone.

Follow these steps to adjust the screen brightness of your iPhone 6:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Display & Brightness.
  1. Drag the slider to a certain level (brighter or dimmer) as you want.

You can also use the Auto-Brightness feature of your iPhone 6, to let the phone automatically adjust the screen brightness for the current light conditions with the built-in ambient light sensor.

Another way to adjust the screen brightness on the new iPhone is through the Control Center.

Magnify Screen Display on the iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screen display can be magnified using the Display Zoom feature. To magnify the screen display, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings.
  1. Select Display & Brightness.
  2. Tap on View, located below Display Zoom.
  3. Now, select Zoomed.
  4. To apply current settings, tap on Set.

And that covers the basics on how to work with the new iPhone 6 screen display settings.
