Company’s Richard Yu revealed Huawei Ascend W1 through a social network Sina Weibo. He made it clear that the device would run Microsoft’s newest mobile operating system, although he didn’t reveal the specifications of the device or in what market it will be marketed when released.
A Chinese website Winp suggested that Huawei Ascend W1 may be released in November or December, citing sources from within the company. It will be made available in four colors—blue, black, pink, and white—and will be offered around $300 to $350 price range.
No other information provided about the device but the report seems legit. After all, Huawei is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of mobile phones and electronic supplies. It is currently trying to claim its piece of the pie in the Android market so it is logical it will try to claim a space in the Windows Phone 8 market.
