My wife’s phone vibrates like crazy whenever I user the iheart radio app even if sound is completely turned down. Only occurs with iheart radio. My phone does not vibrate with the same app. We both have s3 with newest upgraded software. Did it prior to the update also. How do we stop the vibrating?
It seems to me that you are experiencing a slight problem caused by the Samsung Galaxy S3?s Auto-Haptic feature. The iHeartRadio app isn’t the only one that could be hit by this problem. In fact, there were many users who reported that their devices vibrate when using the Spotify app.
Some variants of the S3 don’t have this Auto-Haptic feature, others have this feature but disabled and others have it enabled by default but cannot be disabled. I hope you’re one of the people who have this feature and can totally manipulate it, i.e. disable/enable it and choose apps to use this feature. Here’s how you fix the problem with your wife’s phone:
Step 1: From the Home screen, tap Apps and choose Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down to and tap Sound.
Step 3: Scroll down a bit to find Auto-Haptic.
Step 4: If it’s enabled, disable it.
Step 5: Alternatively, tap on Auto-Haptic option and uncheck iHeart Radio app.
