iPhone+5+vibrator+problem+solution
Apple’s iPhone 5 originally comes with a dual core CPU and triple-core GPU with 1 GB RAM. As for its vibrator system, Apple has gone back to utilizing the rotational vibrator for the iPhone 5. Such kind of vibrators  are thought to be sloppier than the linear oscillating vibrator used on Verizon Phone 4 and iPhone 4S.

This
content will walk you through fixing two common vibrator problems on the iPhone
5 smartphone, particularly no vibration and slow vibration issues.

Primary
Workarounds

1. Get to
the iPhone settings.
2. Check
the vibrator status and see if it is ON. You can toggle between ON-OFF option
and see the result.
3. After
verifying vibrator settings is set to ON, restart the iPhone and test
vibration.
Hardware
Solutions
If primary
workarounds won’t fix the vibrator problem on you iPhone device, then you may
refer to the following hardware solutions. But of course, you also have to note that hardware solutions can only be done by dismantling or disassembling the iPhone device.
WARNING:
Please do
not attempt to troubleshoot vibrator problem on your iPhone 5 if you are not
sure you can do it right, especially if your device is still under warranty.
However, if you are willing to get the problem fixed by yourself, then you may
opt to take the risk and follow these steps.
1. Start by
checking the iPhone vibrator using a multi-meter. If you found the vibrator is
damaged, then replace it with a new or functional one.
2. Carefully clean the vibrator’s contacts.
3. Examine
the vibrator’s on-board connector. You can see the on-board connector’s last
two pins are +VE and -VE.
4. Verify
connection between on-board connector and vibrator’s is good or in contact. If
you see a gap or connection break, then you have to replace the entire vibrator
strip including the volume button.
5. Examine
the capacitors of the vibrator controller IC. If you see any fault or damage,
replace them.
6.
Carefully and gently heat the vibrator controller IC. If doing so, won’t
resolve the vibrator problem, then replace it with a new iPhone 5 vibrator.

Hope this helps.
