Quick Share is supposed to make file sharing fast and simple. But sometimes, when you try to share photos or videos, the feature just spins without showing any nearby devices.
This usually happens because the receiving device hasn’t allowed itself to be visible. The good thing is, the fix is straightforward.
Check the Receiving Device.
On the device you’re sending files to, open Settings. Tap Connected devices, then tap Quick Share.
Scroll down to Nearby sharing. Here, you’ll see two options: Contacts only or Everyone.
If you pick Everyone, the device will only stay visible for 10 minutes. For more reliability, switch it back on before sharing, or choose Contacts only if both devices are logged into Samsung accounts.
Test Quick Share Again.
Once the receiving device is set correctly, try Quick Share again from your Galaxy A17 5G. Go to the Gallery, select a picture, tap Share, then choose Quick Share.
Now, nearby devices should appear instantly. If they don’t, double-check that both devices are unlocked and have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on.
Quick Share only works when the other device allows itself to be discoverable. That’s why making sure Nearby sharing is active is the key step.
