a. View Snippets of Text Messages
These are the steps to view snippets of your text messages on the Galaxy S5 Home screen:
1. Go to your phone’s Home screen.
2. Tap and hold on an empty space on the Home screen until you will be prompted with the quick panel options.
3. Touch Widgets from the given options.
4. Scroll to, then tap and hold on Messages.
5. Now drag the widget on to the Home screen.
6. Finally, tap the Back key.
You should then be able to view snippets of the text messages you receive on your device.
b. View Snippets of Emails
These are the steps to view snippets of your email messages on the Galaxy S5 Home screen:
1. Go to your phone’s Home screen.
2. Tap and hold on an empty space on the Home screen until you will be prompted with the quick panel options.
3. From the quick panel, touch to select Widgets from the available options.
4. Scroll to, then tap and hold on Email. If you are using a Gmail account, tap and hold on Gmail instead. If you have downloaded a third-party email application that contains a widget, then you can use that widget, too.
5. Drag the widget on to the Home screen.
6. When the widget is already on the Home screen, tap on it to set it up for your email account.
You should then be able to view snippets of your email messages in your selected email’s inbox in the Home screen widget.
