Motions and Gestures is a feature that will let you control your phone by making specific gestures with your hand above the device’s screen. Among the options you can use with this feature include the following:

  • Direct Call – this option allows you to call the contact whose recent call log, message or contact details are shown by lifting the phone to your ear.
  • Smart alert – this option allows the phone to vibrate for missed calls and notifications that transpired since the last time you picked up your device.
  • Mute/pause – this option is used for muting incoming calls and pause playback by turning the phone screen side-down or by covering the screen with your hand. To have the device pause video playback when you look away from the screen, you can use Smart Pause.
  • Palm swipe to capture – this option is used for creating a copy of the current screen by swiping the side of your hand across the screen, starting from left to right or vice versa. By default, the screen shot will be saved to the clipboard, inside the Screenshots folder.
