Troubleshooting keyboard issues on Samsung Galaxy S4: Cannot Use Samsung Keyboard/Swype

Samsung Galaxy S4 comes pre-loaded with Samsung Keyboard and Swype apps. All you have to do is to configure it to set which keyboard is used as your default option. In case you’re having some trouble using any of these typing applications, here’s some quick workarounds for you to try on.

There are many factors that could trigger such problem to occur on your device. Among the possible causes include the following:

1. Keyboard settings are set as default or not properly configured.
2. Physical or liquid damage on the device.
3. Out-dated device software.
4. Handwriting function is turned on or enabled on Samsung Keyboard.

Determine which keyboard should be the default input method.
