Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Tab are designed to establish connection to the internet from another device like a computer. But for some reasons, you cannot use tethering on your Galaxy tablet. What should you do then?
Before you begin troubleshooting the main problem, be sure to check two important things. Are you able to make a voice call and can you access the Internet with your Galaxy Tab?
If you cannot make a voice call or cannot access the Internet, you need to resolve these issues beforehand. More likely, the Internet or voice call issues are causing tethering problem to occur on your tablet.
However, if you can make a voice call, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Be sure to properly set up your computer and your Galaxy Tab before using tethering. Here’s how:
- Get a data cable and connect your tablet to a computer.
- Once the two devices are connected, get to your tablet and press the Home key to return to standby mode.
- Tap Applications.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wireless and network under Settings.
- Tap Tethering to continue.
